EIS 350 - Curriculum and Instructional Methods for Students with Mild/Moderate Disabilities 3 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 0 Recitation: 2.8 Alternative Mode: 0.2
This seated course provides the learner with knowledge and skills in assessing, planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating instruction based on knowledge of the student, intended student outcomes, and English language arts and mathematics curricula. The course focuses on the needs of students with mild to moderate disabilities, including students with disabilities from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds. Topics include student characteristics, linking instruction with assessment, research-based methods and strategies, curriculum standards, accommodations, and modifications to support student access to the general education curriculum. 50 hours field experience is required. Prerequisite(s): C- or higher in EIS 272 ; minimum 2.85 GPA. For ISP candidates only. There is an additional fee with this course.
