EDU 373 - Social Studies Literacy and Methods in Middle Childhood

Methods encouraging concept and generalization development through active participation will be the major focus. The Ohio Learning Standards for Social Studies provides guidance in what concepts, generalizations, and skills will be developed, including Ohio History. Emphasis will be upon developing citizenship skills. Students will be encouraged to use technology to enhance both planning and instructional phases. 25 hours field experience required. (Spring)

Prerequisite(s): C- or higher in EDU 310; minimum 2.5 GPA.
