DAT 310 - Data Management and Visualization 3 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 0 Recitation: 3 Alternative Mode: 0
This course emphasizes traditional data mining and organization techniques. Students learn how to find, wrangle, preprocess, clean, and aggregate data from various sources, including gathering data from relational databases, CSV files, web scraping, and other sources. Students use advanced spreadsheet functions, visualization tools, and programming languages such as Python and R to perform data mining, analysis, and visualization. Data warehouses are also discussed. Students will sharpen analytical skills and learn how to design dashboards for use by stakeholders. (Fall)
Prerequisite(s): CPS 201 ; DAT 305 ; MTH 119 .
