MTH 119 - Statistics I

This is an introduction course to statistics. Students will learn basic statistical concepts, methods, and techniques, including: the collection of data, Representation of data - graphs and tables, descriptive statistics, probability, random variables and distributions, correlation and regression, central limit theorem, and beginnings of inferential statistics. A graphing calculator (TI-83, TI-84, or equivalent) is required. (Fall, Spring)

Prerequisite(s): Placement exam into MTH 114  or higher, or C- or higher in MTH 090 .
