BSC 370 - Internship

Supervised off-campus work experience in a criminal justice, sociology, or mental health-related job; site and schedule must be determined by the student with Psychology and Criminology Department approval. Credit is given only if work is monitored by a Heidelberg psychology faculty member. An internship contract must be completed and on file in the Internship office before registration. 40 hours per one semester hour.

Prerequisite(s): COM 100 ; WRI 101 . Open to juniors and seniors; For criminology majors: CRM 151 . For psychology majors: PSY 209 . PSY 206  is recommended if internship is for children. PSY 207  is recommended for sites concerned with adolescents. See Psychology and Criminology Department chair for permission to register, and for a list of internship opportunities.
