CRM 151 - Introduction to Criminology and Criminal Justice 3 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 0 Recitation: 3 Alternative Mode: 0
An introduction and overview of the study of criminology designed to provide students with an understanding of law, crime, and the criminal justice system in America. The course explores the underlying justification for the Criminal Justice System, while introducing students to the scientific foundations of criminology. Finally, the course explores what happens when individuals commit crimes and are processed through the criminal justice system. (Fall, Spring)
Course Exclusion: Students with CJS 151, Introduction to Criminal Justice, credit will not also receive credit for this course. Fulfills Gen Ed 2011-2021: Reading, Social Science GE 2025 +: Social Science
