POL 344 - Research Methods

This course explores the application of scholarly methodologies in the social sciences and humanities to the investigation of politics and government. Students will learn how to work with primary and secondary sources, including government documents, and be introduced to foundational practices of scholarly research, design, and ethics. The course will also introduce students to qualitative and quantitative analysis, including basic statistics and digital tools used in political science. (Fall)

Prerequisite(s): COM 100 ; WRI 101 ; successful completion of MTH 100   or MTH Placement into MTH 114 , or higher.
