HIS 332 - Politics and History of the Middle East (W)(S)(G)

This course examines the contemporary Middle East. Country studies will be emphasized as will regional topics such as political, economic, and human development, the Arab-Israeli conflict, disputes between Shi’a and Sunni, political Islam, Islamic militancy, i.e., Jihadism, resources (particularly oil, natural gas, and water), and foreign (especially American) involvement. (Fall odd- even years)

Course Exclusion: Students with credit for POL 283 or POL 383  will not receive credit for HIS 332.
