Students will read and analyze primary and secondary literature, past and present, to address the relationship between religion and politics. What, according to the First Amendment, should the relationship be? In an intentionally pluralistic nation, how does, why does, and should religious discourse enter the public square and affect public policy? (Offered occasionally)
Prerequisite(s): Sophomore standing or above. Fulfills Gen Ed 2011-2021: Reading, Humanities
