PSY 407 - Multicultural Psychology

Multicultural psychology investigates the influence of sociocultural factors on human thought, development, and behavior. The course will investigate how psychology concepts and findings might be influenced by factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, and class. The course has a multidisciplinary focus in which psychology is related to other fields such as anthropology, economics, political science, and sociology. Students will learn to analyze and integrate knowledge from various sources including readings, scientific literature, and the popular media. (Spring, odd-even years)

Prerequisite(s): PSY 101 , and one additional course in psychology, or permission of instructor.
