HSC 171 - Acute Care of Injury and Illness 3 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 0 Recitation: 3 Alternative Mode: 0
This course is designed to teach the student the basic knowledge and skills utilized in allied-healthcare settings. This includes the recognition of general medical conditions seen in various populations (i.e pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, athletic, etc.). Students who have credit for ATR 171 are not eligible to take HSC 171 for additional credit. Recommendations: basic understanding of human anatomy obtained through high school anatomy/biology coursework or one semester of college biology. (Fall, Spring)
Prerequisite(s): Freshman or Sophomore standing. GE 2025 +: Self and Community
