EIS 428 - Student Teaching: Adolescent-Young Adult Education 5 or 10 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 0 Recitation: 0 Alternative Mode: 5 or 10
Teacher candidates are placed with a qualified mentor teacher and university supervisor in a classroom setting for a minimum of 12 full weeks. Teacher candidates are expected to maintain all responsibilities of the mentor teacher including developing and implementing all instruction, assessments, classroom management, and professional activities. Teacher candidates pursuing the intervention specialist license take this course for 5 credit hours and EIS 429 for 5 credit hours. (Spring)
Prerequisite(s): C- or higher in EDU 346 ; 2.85 GPA. Must earn state passing scores on all state mandated tests required for the licensure area. Corequisite(s): EIS 416 There is an additional fee with this course.
