EDU 320 - Introductory Conceptual Methods and Research for Primary Educators 3 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 0 Recitation: 2.6 Alternative Mode: 0.4
Students in this course explore curricular and instructional approaches in the PreK-5 classroom through the lens of theory and research. Classroom experiences will engage students in inquiry-based learning units where students will link theory to practice. This course has a strong emphasis on content knowledge and experiential learning across the disciplines of science, math, English language arts and social studies. Throughout the semester students will begin the initial process of an action research project by gathering, collecting and analyzing evidence-based research into a literature review. (Fall)
Prerequisite(s): C- or higher in the following: EDU 225 , EDU 230 ; EIS 285 ; minimum 2.85 GPA.
