CHM 205 - Environmental Chemistry


4 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 1 Recitation: 3 Alternative Mode: 0

Students will study the chemistry of the air, water, and soil. The reactions, movements, and fates of anthropogenic and naturally occurring compounds will be investigated. Students will use contemporary sampling and analytical techniques to examine matrices such as surface water, groundwater, and sediment samples. In addition, students will employ appropriate documentation and quality control procedures, interpret data and learn to communicate water quality data. (Fall, even-odd years)

Prerequisite(s): CHM 111  and CHM 112 .
