CHM 103 - Fundamentals of Chemistry 4 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 1 Recitation: 3 Alternative Mode: 0
This course explores basic chemical principles and utilizes these principles in discussions about current topics of interest. There is a focus on measurement, atomic structure, after and energy. Students may explore concepts discussed in lecture through an optional hands-on chemistry laboratory experience. This course does not count toward the Chemistry major or minor. No previous chemistry is necessary.
Corequisite(s): If taking this course for their General Education requirement for laboratory science must take both CHM103 and CHM103L in the same semester. Course Exclusion: This course does not count toward the Chemistry major or minor. Fulfills Gen Ed 2011-2021: Natural Science Fulfills GE 2023-2024: C-Natural Sciences-Social Sciences GE 2025 +: Natural Science There is an additional lab fee with this course.
