BUS 101 - Introduction to Business 3 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 0 Recitation: 3 Alternative Mode: 0
This course is designed to introduce students to specific areas of business including management, marketing, accounting, finance, and economics. Students will gain a basic understanding of the nature of business, analyze the free enterprise system and the value provided to stakeholders, determine the legal and ethical issues in the broad business environment, and the creativity and innovation involved in starting a new business. This course also focuses on organizational culture and positive leadership and how the human side of the organization impacts business sustainability and profitability.
Course Exclusion: Students with credit for BAE 101 will not receive credit for BUS 101. Fulfills Gen Ed 2011-2021: Social Science GE 2025 +: Social Science
