BIO 121 - Introduction to Human Anatomy and Physiology I 4 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 1 Recitation: 3 Alternative Mode: 0
This is the first course of a two-semester sequence. The course focuses on the structure and function of organic molecules, cells, tissues, and organs as well as their homeostatic relationships. The integumentary, skeletal, muscular, and nervous systems will be reviewed. Supportive and coordinated laboratory experiences facilitate the application of new knowledge. Only 8 hours of BIO 121, BIO 122 , BIO 363 , and BIO 364 may count towards the BIO major or minor. (Fall)
Prerequisite(s): The course is open to BIO, EXC, NURC, SPO, and HSC majors as well as BIO minors; or permission of instructor. Corequisite(s): The laboratory must be taken concurrently with BIO 110 . Fulfills Gen Ed 2011-2021: Natural Science, Lab GE 2025 +: Natural Science There is an additional fee with this course.
