ANT 200 - Cultural Anthropology 3 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 0 Recitation: 3 Alternative Mode: 0
Cultural anthropology is the study of human cultures, usually through direct observation and interaction with members of a culture that is not your own. This course presents the methods and theories of cultural anthropology and uses case studies to illustrate how it provides a way of understanding human behavior at the group level. Special attention is given to the concept of ethnocentrism, the tendency to see your own culture as better than others, and how this colors your understanding of the world that we live in.
