WSS 335 - Freshwater Ecology


4 Credit Hour(s) Laboratory: 1 Recitation: 3 Alternative Mode: 0

Students will learn about a variety of freshwater ecosystems. Topics covered will include the geology, chemistry, organism biology, population ecology, community ecology, and ecosystem ecology of freshwater systems. Learning will take place through lab and field studies and will include several studies of regional aquatic ecosystems. Special focus will be given to issues currently affecting the freshwater ecosystems of the Ohio River and Great Lakes Basins. (Fall, even-odd years)

Prerequisite(s): BIO 124 
Course Exclusion: Students with credit for WSS 235 may not also receive credit for WSS 335.
