Second course of a two semester sequence required of majors. The course introduces features of the diversity of life including systematics, viruses, bacteria, protists, fungi, invertebrate animals, and plants. Material from the first course is combined with the second in the study of evolution, ecology, and environmental issues. (Spring)

Corequisite(s): Lecture and laboratory components must be taken concurrently.
