EIS 430 - Student Teaching: Multi-Age

Music Education candidates are placed with a qualified mentor teacher and university supervisor in a music education classroom setting for a minimum of 12 full weeks. Theatre Education candidates are placed with a qualified mentor teacher and university supervisor in a theatre education setting for a minimum of 12 weeks. Teacher candidates are expected to maintain all responsibilities of the mentor teacher including developing and implementing all instruction, assessments, classroom management, and professional activities. (Spring)

Prerequisite(s): C- or higher in EDU 350; A grade of “P” in MUS 092, Piano Proficiency, MUS 373, MUS 374 for Music; minimum 2.85 GPA. Must earn passing scores on all state mandated tests required for the licensure area.
