The General Studies major is overseen by the Director of the Owen Center for Teaching and Learning and is designed for students who want a broad but flexible program. Students completing this major will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree. Students majoring in General Studies may not add any additional majors.

Major Courses (at least 30 semester hours)
Core Courses (27 semester hours)
- At least 6 credit hours at the 200 or higher level.
- At least 15 credit hours at the 300/400 level.
- At least 6 additional credit hours of elective courses.
Capstone Experience Course (3 semester hours)
A capstone experience course from the following 3 options: - An existing designated capstone course for at least 3 credit hours.
- Internship course (any prefix) 370 for at least 3 credit hours.
