SMT 320 - Advanced Musical Theatre Styles

Practical study of the development of the musical theatre with emphasis on the analysis, preparation, and performance of musical numbers. Advanced study of musical theatre repertoire, history, and performance practice of Operetta, Musical Comedy, Contemporary pre-1970 and Contemporary post-1970. (Spring)

Prerequisite(s): SMT 163  
Course Exclusion: Students who have taken THR 320 cannot get credit for SMT 320.
