MUS 312 - Writing and Arranging for Major Ensembles

An overview of the basic capabilities of vocalists and instrumentalists (wind, string, and percussion) and how to use this information to create effective compositions/arrangements for major ensembles of various sizes. Score study and arranging/transcription assignments provide opportunities for students to develop scoring and arranging techniques. (Fall, odd-even years)

Prerequisite(s): MUS 103
