ENS 491 - Limnology

Study of interrelations among physical, chemical, and biological components of inland waters. During this course students will investigate the aquatic communities and ecosystem processes that occur in lakes, ponds, wetlands, and rivers. Laboratory activities include assessing water and habitat quality, aquatic biota, and biodiversity. Required weekend field experience and trip to a regional conference. This course serves as the Capstone degree requirement for the EWS major.  (Fall, even-odd years)

Prerequisite(s): BIO 124 CHM 111 CHM 112 ENS 101 , and junior or senior standing or permission of the instructor.
