WSS 210 - Field Methods in Watershed Science

Students will get hands-on training in a wide range of watershed science field methods with a special focus on the Rock Creek watershed. Topics will include field methods pertaining to physical stream measurements, chemical analyses, biological assessments, field equipment use and maintenance, as well as watershed land use assessments. Students will complete guided research projects within the Rock Creek watershed providing valuable data that will be included in a long-term Rock Creek watershed database. Students will also interact with local watershed and land use science professionals to enhance their learning experience. (Fall, odd-even years)

Prerequisite(s): ENS 101 ; ENS 101L
