EDU 310 - Introductory Conceptual Methods and Research for Middle Childhood and Adolescent to Young Adult

Students in this course explore curricular and instructional approaches in 6-12 classrooms through the lens of theory and research. Classroom experiences will engage students in inquiry-based learning units where students will link theory to practice. Throughout the semester students will begin the initial process of an action research project by collecting and analyzing evidence-based research to develop a literature review and an appropriate action research question to be further pursued in subsequent semesters. Prerequisite(s): C- or higher in EDU 226 , EDU 230 ; minimum 2.85 GPA.
