BUS 270 - Business Analytics Tools

Students will learn the principles, terminology, organizational roles, and application of data analytics in the business world, along with the challenges and underlying potential of structured and unstructured data for effective contextual decision making and creative problem solving. Through applied lessons and case studies, students will learn to recognize ethical issues for reliable and credible analytical insights and communicate analytical results and actionable insights. They will be introduced to the multi-faceted toolkit of data analytic tools with a focus on spreadsheets, and explore such key areas as the analytical process and how the organization works with data and creates the environment in which analytics can flourish.
